Tech founder earns national recognition

A County Durham technology entrepreneur has been recognised by Innovate UK for her work tackling challenges within residential construction.
Kate Murray, founder and chief executive of Consett-based housing technology company Ubrix, has been named among 100 recipients of the Innovate UK Women in Innovation Awards.
Nearly 1600 businesses from across the UK applied to the programme, which recognises women founders developing businesses with the potential to deliver economic and societal impact.
