Dr Hunt, who studied at Durham in the 1980s and later helped shape Netflix into one of the world’s most recognisable brands as its first chief product officer, made the donation alongside his partner, Julie Raymond.

This contribution will fund PhD scholarships aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, support the Hunt-Raymond Innovation Programme for student entrepreneurship, and create industry experience opportunities for science students.
