It is seeking to identify instances of outdated and excessive regulations that hinder growth, restrict innovation, and discourage investment.
A questionnaire has been issued by the Department for Business and Trade, giving businesses and industry the opportunity to contribute to regulatory reform.
The government wants to hear examples of good regulatory practice that can be implemented more widely, as well as those that often prevent business opportunities from being taken and unnecessary costs or delays for companies.
