£4.6m investment to improve water supplies across County Durham


More than 6,000 homes and businesses across County Durham are set to benefit from a £4.6 million investment by Northumbrian Water.

More than 6,000 homes and businesses across County Durham are set to benefit from a £4.6 million investment by Northumbrian Water.

The water company is upgrading its network at Westerton to improve supplies in the village and for customers in Ferryhill, Kirk Merrington, and Coundon.

The project includes the construction of 850 metres of new water main, leading from the A688 junction up to Westerton.
