Charities are set to benefit as Thorpe Farm Centre launches a monthly Car Boot Sale.
The first car boot sale for 2025 will take place on Sunday 30th March, opening to shoppers from 9am to midday. Each shopper will pay a £1 entry, with the money raised donated to a different charity each month.
Harvey Barkes, of Thorpe Farm Centre, said: “We’re inviting our staff here at Thorpe Farm Centre to choose charities they would like to support. Each month the money raised will be donated to a charity nominated by a different member of staff. We have a hard working team here at Thorpe Farm Centre, and we want them to be able to make a difference to a cause that matters to them.”
The first charity that will benefit from the Car Boot Sale is Sands Baby Loss Charity, which was selected by Sarah Tindall, who works in the Farm Shop at Thorpe Farm Centre. Sarah selected the charity after losing a baby 14 weeks into a pregnancy.
Sarah commented: “The Sands Baby Loss Charity is one that supported me really well when I needed it. I always try to give back to the charity, and it’s great that the business I work for is giving me an opportunity to do just that with the money raised at the Car Boot Sale later this month.”
The Car Boot Sales will run on the last Sunday of each month from March through to October. Sellers are invited to set up in the car park from 8am, and shoppers are invited to attend from 9am through to midday.
Thorpe Farm Centre is on the north side of the A66 at Greta Bridge. It incorporates animal paddocks with a park for touring and static caravans, a reclamation centre, farm shop and café.
