PasCheck, a specialist provider of retrofit coordination, design, and compliance support for the social housing and retrofit sectors, has welcomed a new team member to its growing workforce in the North East.
Daniel Georgeson joins the company as a Trainee Retrofit Coordinator, bringing with him valuable experience from his previous role at RE:GEN Group – a respected regeneration specialist known for delivering best-in-class solutions to the social housing sector.
Based at The Greenhouse in Greencroft, County Durham, PasCheck supports local authorities, housing associations, ECO installers, and contractors across the UK. The company plays a vital role in guiding clients through the complexities of PAS 2035, offering end-to-end support including retrofit assessment reviews, improvement option evaluations, ventilation strategies, design input, and full project coordination.
As the sector scales up to meet the demands of broader net zero ambitions, PasCheck is expanding its team to ensure clients receive expert, compliant and future-focused support. The appointment of Daniel signals PasCheck’s continued investment in growing internal talent and building long-term industry capacity.
Andrew Lawton, Director at PasCheck, said:
"Daniel is a great addition to our team. He brings not only enthusiasm and a strong learning mindset, but also a solid foundation from his time at RE:GEN Group — an organisation we hold in high regard for its innovative and sustainable approach to regeneration. At PasCheck, we’re passionate about supporting the next generation of retrofit professionals, and Daniel’s appointment is a key part of that mission."
Daniel, Trainee Retrofit Coordinator, added:
"I’m proud to be starting this new chapter with PasCheck at a time when retrofit is playing such a vital role in the journey towards net zero. My time at RE:GEN Group helped shape my understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this space. RE:GEN’s commitment to smarter, more sustainable approaches really resonated with me, and I’m looking forward to building on that ethos here at PasCheck, with a team that’s equally driven to make a difference."
Daniel’s appointment also reflects a growing recognition within the region of the need to scale up retrofit efforts. The Interim North East Local Growth Plan, published by the North East Combined Authority (NECA), highlights the urgent need for a regional retrofit strategy as a vital step in tackling cold, poorly insulated homes — particularly within the private rented sector. By investing in local skills and future-proofing its workforce, PasCheck is playing a hands-on role in supporting the North East’s ambition to lead the way in sustainable housing and green economic growth.
