A utilities company is set to expand its innovation capabilities following a takeover.

Durham-headquartered water retailer Wave has acquired the assets, IP and patents of Cambridge technology firm Infersens, strengthening its position in the non-household water market.

The deal follows a two-year collaboration between the two organisations, funded through the Market Improvement Fund, which has supported the rollout of 1000 remote flow and temperature sensors across a range of customer sites.
