The Council Plan sets out our ambitions for County Durham which are:
• Reforming the council
• Supercharging our economy
• Building better communities
• Caring for our people
• Practical environmental stewardship
We regularly review the plan to ensure it reflects local needs, focuses on what matters most to
our communities, and takes account of changes across the county.
We have also taken time to review our current Council Plan priorities. We have added further
detail to some objectives to reflect new priorities, provide more information and give clarity to
how we will achieve our ambitions.
We would like to hear your views on whether anything is missing, where more focus is needed,
and any comments you have on our proposed approach.
