New Independent Pet Shop Opens Its Doors in Sacriston

A new independent pet shop is set to open in Sacriston, offering local pet owners a carefully selected range of natural treats, enrichment products and accessories for dogs and cats.
The Paw Pantry, located at 1A AMR Buildings, Sacriston, DH7 6JX, will officially open on Saturday 8th August, with special offers, free pup cups for visiting dogs and goodie bags for the first 50 customers.
Founded by former veterinary nurse Hilary Wood, The Paw Pantry focuses on natural pet nutrition and enrichment, stocking high-quality treats free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. The shop also offers natural chews, bakery treats, toys, accessories and products chosen to support pets’ health and wellbeing.
Hilary said: “The Paw Pantry was created to give pet owners a place where they can shop with confidence, knowing every product has been carefully selected with animal health and welfare in mind. I’m passionate about helping owners make informed choices and providing natural alternatives that dogs and cats will love.”
The business is committed to supporting independent suppliers and aims to become a welcoming hub for local pet owners through community events, markets and friendly, knowledgeable advice.
The grand opening takes place on Saturday 8th August at 1A AMR Buildings, Sacriston, DH7 6JX.
