Work has started on a major upgrade to broadband infrastructure in a County Durham town.
Openreach is building a new full-fibre broadband network in Stanley, promising residents and businesses access to gigabit-capable speeds.
The company says the 'once-in-a-generation' upgrade will offer some of the fastest and most reliable broadband in Europe.
