Campaigners in Barnard Castle are celebrating after plans to set up a 24-hour cash machine moved forward, following the approval of a banking hub in the town.

Both these services were lost last September with the closure of Barclays, the last bank in Teesdale.

Now Cash for Access, responsible for approving outdoor ATMs, have visited Barnard Castle on to meet local campaigners and identify potential premises.
