Stanley Bus Station set for £2.5 million revamp
North East Mayor, Kim McGuinness

A County Durham transport hub is set for a revamp after securing multi-million-pound investment to improve safety, accessibility and passenger experience.

Stanley Bus Station will undergo a £2.5 million upgrade following a successful funding bid by Durham County Council to the North East Combined Authority.

Officials say the scheme will see the main entrance redesigned to create a more open and welcoming gateway, while helping to support the wider town centre.
