A County Durham-based transport and distribution company, which can trace its roots back to the 19th century, has reported another "solid financial performance" in a year where turnover was impacted by challenges in the market, but investment across the business continued.
Elddis Transport serves the road haulage, warehousing, radial distribution, property, pallet sorting, caravan storage and vehicle maintenance markets.
Elddis started life when Thomas Cook bought his first horse and cart in 1881. After his death in 1942 his son Siddle formed Siddle C Cook, which was sold in 1964.
