A business park in County Durham is nearing full occupancy after securing a string of high profile tenants.
Traynor Business Park in Peterlee has been developed by property company North East Commercial, supported by a seven-figure investment.
The park is made up of three business centres which collectively employ around 500 people.
Traynor House is a thriving business centre home to businesses including Redu, Knauf, North East Learning Trust and recruitment company JDR; Traynor Hub which houses water company Everflow and community facilities including a gym and Tray Café; and Traynor North which is part-occupied by the NHS and part occupied by local businesses Asbestos Audit and MW Lift, among others.
Now, seven years after North East Commercial acquired the site, the business park is 95 per cent full with only three suites available to let across the whole site.
North East Commercial co-director Andy Rothwell said: “When we acquired the site, we knew it had real potential to become a thriving hub within Peterlee’s vast business and industrial community.
“But at the time we also knew there was a lot of work ahead. The site was in a real state of disrepair so we had to look beyond that and be able to visualise what it could like with the right investment and commercial acumen.
“Now, the site is close to full occupancy with only three suites across all three buildings available.
“What we’ve created is a high-quality business park and an environment that provides businesses with the home from home feel that is so important, and we’re incredibly proud of that.”
One of Traynor Business Park’s unique selling points is its commitment to creating bespoke offices that fit the needs of each tenant.
Brian Thompson, co-director of North East Commercial, added: “We pride ourselves on our flexibility to meet the needs of each of our tenants. We know office space isn’t one size fits all, every business has their own requirements so we will work with them to make the space truly fit for purpose.
“It’s what’s helped us attract such a diverse mix of clients, from our flagship tenants Everflow and the NHS to those that occupy the suites in Traynor House and Traynor North.
“This, along with the vast car parking and the on-site gym and café, have helped make Traynor Business Park one of the most sought-after business locations in the North East.”
